Dear Friends of Hazelwood
Thank you very much for helping make the first Hazelwood Charity Ball
at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow
on Saturday 25th February, a night to remember. The evening was a huge success!
With just over 300 people attending,
we are delighted to announce a staggering £16,000+ was raised, exceeding all our expectations.
Chris Rhodes of BidTV did an excellent
job of compering the evening and led us slickly through the Raffle. We were then treated to the wit and repartee of Tam Cowan who conducted the auction – our grateful thanks go to them both for their donation
of time and expertise.
The auction and raffle raised the greatest share of our total,
so we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made donations and bids. We are grateful too for those who have given
so freely of their time, goods and services – the event would not have been such a great success without them.
CORRA had the dancefloor
buzzing from the first to the last dance with its mix of traditional and modern. And we cannot forget our
school band, THE
FRIDAYS, who received many well-deserved
compliments after playing through the Champagne Reception. The proceeds from the Ball will go towards the school’s therapeutic
programme, of which, music is one, so it was particularly fitting having The Fridays perform – we are grateful for all
their hard work and sacrifice, and so proud of all that they have achieved.
Updates and details of fundraising events, current programmes, as well as news and photographs of pupils are available on
both our website http://www.hazelwoodvision.org.uk/ and the school’s http://www.hazelwood.glasgow.sch.uk/
The charity trustees –
Alison and
Phil and all our volunteers have been
overwhelmed by the generosity and support that everyone has shown, particularly in these difficult times. We could not have done it without you – THANK YOU
hazelwoodVISION aims to support and fundraise for Hazelwood School ensuring the advancement and well being of children and young people outwith the normal school day.
